F.A.Q. (frequently asked questions)

1. Are we using our current facilities effectively?
We’ve expanded and remodeled every building on our campus, and built new parking lots and new buildings to accommodate the 300 percent growth we’ve experienced in the past ten years. However, we’re forced to lease space for our growing ministries.

2. What are we accomplishing through this effort?

  1. The Student Ministry will have a permanent home in the multi-purpose Student Building.
  2. There will be a covered walkway from the Atrium to the ARK (Children’s Building) so our little ones won’t have to walk to their Small Groups in the rain.
  3. We will renovate the Jones Road circular drop-off area in front of the Worship Center.
  4. Expanding our current parking facilities to accommodate the increase growth.
  5. Purchasing 100 acres of land in the Highway 290 corridor, and buiding a startup buiding for a second church site.

3. Why are we buying land in the Highway 290 corridor?
Over 40 years ago, people of faith and vision purchased the first few acres of land on which we currently reside. To continue this vision of transforming lives for the next 40 years, we plan to build a second site for the MET that will begin reaching the thousands of people who will be moving to this area.

4. Are we leaving this site?
No. In fact we are investing in more buildings and parking lots to continue to reach people here.

5. How much is all this expansion going to cost?
At the present time, our best estimate is 15 million dollars. As we Finalize the costs, we will know more precise figures.

6. Can we realistically raise this amount of money?
If we are following God’s vision—He will provide everything we need. Based on nation wide comparisons, churches our size have raised six to twenty million dollars. What God gives us will be directly related to our faith and obedience to Him.

7. What will we do until everything is finished?
In September we will begin a Saturday evening worship service to provide more space. We will continue leasing space for our expanding ministries until all the new buildings have been completed.
